The Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched the Ciaz on 5th October 2014, unveiled earlier during the 2014 Indian auto expo. The Ciaz has already entered the list of the top twenty best selling cars. This car is available in 6 petrol and 4 diesel variants priced Rupees 7 to 9.8 lakh. The Ciaz VXi and the Ciaz VDi will be the base variants and the ZXi AT and the ZDi (O) will be the top variants in petrol and diesel respectively. The VXi AT and the ZXi AT variants have automatic transmission.
Maruti Ciaz, which is built on the Ertiga platform comes with extended projector type head lamps, a grille with chrome plated slats with the logo at the centre, an elongated hood and a front bumper carrying air dam and fog lights. Delicately flared wheel arches, chrome door handles, a strong shoulder line, a forward leaning stance, wraparound type tail lamps and reflectors on the rear bumper are the other features on the body.
