When I first came across the work of Christy Lee Rogers, I thought that the very beautiful, extremely impressive images I was looking at must be intricate hyperrealistic oil paintings or heavily retouched photographs. After finding out that they were all purely photographs created entirely in-camera, I was even more impressed. Using just the organic elements of light and water, documenting how they react with each other with no digital manipulation, she has created these stunning otherworldly scenes conveying people, emotion and movement in subtle but very powerful engaging ways.
